Are copper utensils difficult to maintain?

Not at all! In fact, they are easier to maintain than stainless steel. Copper is a soft, highly polished metal that releases food easily, whereas stainless steel has a rough surface that retains food and makes cleaning more difficult.

How do I clean my NhassFes Cookware?

We recommend washing your NhassFes cookware inside and out by hand, using warm water, regular, non-aggressive dish soap and a soft sponge .

By following the instructions and keeping the cooking temperature on a low-medium setting, there should be no sticking. If food is stuck inside, avoid scrubbing with scouring pads - instead soak your NhassFes Cookware in hot water
soapy water to soften and remove food residue. After the
wash, rinse well and dry immediately to avoid water spots.

Can I wash my Cookware in the dishwasher?

We recommend that you do not wash your NhassFes Cookware in the dishwasher - strong detergents can dull copper surfaces, pewter coatings and bronze fittings, dull the shiny surface of your pots and pans and cause corrosion of the edges.

How do I polish my copper cookware?

To keep your copper utensils sparkling, follow a simple and natural method: use lemon and salt. Start by sprinkling salt on half a lemon, then gently rub the copper surface. For an extra shine, you can polish with a steel wool pad. Then, rinse thoroughly with water and wipe dry with a soft cloth. By regularly maintaining your utensils in this way, you preserve their beauty and durability, without the need for harsh chemicals. Should I polish my copper utensils regularly?

It is not necessary to polish your copper utensils regularly, but periodic polishing will help maintain their shiny appearance and prevent oxidation.

What cleaning products should I avoid with my copper utensils?

Avoid abrasive cleaning products, harsh detergents, metal scourers and cleaners containing bleach, as these can damage the copper surface.

My copper cookware has changed color/discolored.

All genuine copper cookware, including NhassFes, naturally tarnishes when exposed to air, heat and moisture - it turns pink, silver, yellow or even iridescent. With continued use, the tarnish turns into a solid dark brown patina, prized by collectors and copper enthusiasts for its rich, authentic look. Will my copper utensils work on an induction hob?

You will need an induction disc made of magnetic stainless steel for this to work.

Can copper utensils go in the oven?

Yes, copper utensils can go in the oven, but for pieces with a pewter interior, it is recommended not to exceed 220°C in order to preserve the quality of the pewter. Pewter begins to blister at around 220°C. When the pewter blisters, it must be touched up.

Do the handles stay cool while cooking?

The bronze handles will heat up on the stove and in the oven.
